Install Ligature

Download the desktop app and start writing locally.

Download for your computer

Choose the Mac or Windows download on the Ligature homepage. Run the downloaded installer and open Ligature.

Start without an account

Your local library works without an account or an internet connection. You can set up optional Sync later.

  1. Open Ligature. The desktop app opens your last library, or creates a Personal library on first launch.
  2. To start a separate library or open an existing one, use the library name at the top of the sidebar.
  3. Choose New document beside the library name to begin writing.
