The website

When you open a page on useligature.com, Vercel Analytics records a page view. We use those views to see which pages are opened.

The site stores your theme choice, light or dark, in this browser so the next visit can match it. That choice stays on your device. It is not an account.

Accounts

An account is optional. Sign-in, sign-up, and account settings are provided by Clerk. If you create an account, Clerk receives the email address and the other account details you submit.

When you are signed in, Clerk uses cookies to keep that session. You can sign out from your account page.

Your library

The library in the desktop app stays on your computer. Local writing does not require an account. The app does not upload that library unless you turn Sync on.

Sync

Sync is optional. When you turn it on, encrypted sync copies your library so you can use it on more devices, and that copy is tied to your account.

Leave Sync off and the library remains only on the computers where you already saved it.

Payments

Sync is paid. The pricing page lists plans, and your account is where you manage a subscription. Clerk handles that billing. This site does not ask you to send a card number by email.

Email hello@useligature.com to ask what account data we can see, or to ask a question about this policy. Write from the address on the account if the question is about that account.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do.
